A highlight of inshore fishing this time of year is the arrival of red drum. So go ahead and get happy, big channel bass are here.
Drum are being caught from the breakers of Eastern Shore barrier islands all the way south past Ocracoke.
And the news gets better. More reds are on the way and they’ll be hanging around local waters for months to come.
